1 Remove the seat. 2 Remove saddlebags if installed. 3 Remove left and right side covers. 4 Remove the battery (negative terminal first). 5 Loosen the two 7/16 nuts that retain the ECU (Fig. A) 6 From the left side (underneath the left side cover area) feed the PC III connectors in front of battery tray, and out the right side (in front of the ECU bracket)(Fig. B). 7 Attach PC II module to battery box. First, clean the PCIII and battery box with the supplied alcohol wipe. Using the supplied velcro attach PCIII to the battery box. Also secure the unit with the included zip ties. If your bike has cruise control, attach the unit to the face of the cruise control module (Fig. C). 8 Disconnect the large connector from the ECU. Remove the rubber dust shield. 9 Install the dust shield onto the matching connector on the PCIII. Zip tie the rubber dust shield to the PCIII connector with zip tie provided. 10 Plug the PCIII connector into the stock ECU. 11 Plug stock connector into the remaining connector from the PCIII (Fig. D). 12 Tighten the two 7/16 nuts that retain the ECU. 13 Route the connectors alongside the ECU and install the right side cover. 14 Replace the battery, the left side cover and the seat. 8 5 Power Commander Connnector Stock Connnector Fig.D Fig.E Adjust Idle Speed here Fig.F Adjusting Your Power Commander Your Power Commander has been programmed with a base map for your application. Lift the bracket enough to expose the 3 zip ties that hold the wiring harness to the bracket (Fig. B). Cut these 3 zip ties. 4 Pull upwards on the retaining plate (which holds the relays) enough to clear the battery (Fig. C). You can adjust the base map or install an alternate map using your Computer. Please refer to the supplied CD-Rom for more information. You can also adjust your Power Commander using the face plate buttons as described below. 1. With the ignition off, hold down all three buttons on the Power Commander III unit. 2. While still holding down the buttons, turn the ignition on. 3. Release buttons. 4. Select the range you wish to adjust: Low, Med, High, by pushing the corresponding button once. 5. At this point holding that button down will move the lights down ( leaning out the mixture). 6. Pushing the button repeatedly will move the light up (richening the mixture). 7. When the two center light are lit up this is the “0″ setting. After making your adjustments wait 20 seconds before starting the bike or turning it off. This allows the settings to be saved to memory. To verify that it is safe to start the bike, move the throttle and watch to see if the lights move up and down the scale. If they do, you may start or turn off the bike. Tabs 5 Rotate this plate forward to locate the relay retaining tabs (Fig. D). Bend these tabs so they are flush with the plate. This allows the relays to sit lower in the slots

Please refer to the supplied CD-Rom for more information. You can also adjust your Power Commander using the face plate buttons as described below. 1. With the ignition off, hold down all three buttons on the Power Commander unit. 2. While still holding down the buttons, turn the ignition on. 3. Release buttons. 4. If you feel that you are having any problems at all with the Power Commander II, disconnect it from your motorcycle. This will allow the motorcycle to run directly off of the stock ECU. The lights don’t come on when I turn the ignition switch on.
Check to make sure connectors are seated and the kill switch is in the “run” position. The on-board adjustment buttons do not hold their settings. Be sure to wait 20-30 seconds after making adjustments before starting or turning off the bike.
Can not upload to or download from the Power Commander II. Check to see that the serial cable is firmly in place. Verify that ignition switch is on and the kill switch is in the “run” position. My mouse uses the same serial port. If your computer has a PS/2 port purchase a DB9 to PS/2 adapter for your mouse. I get a “verify failed….” message when I upload a map to the Power Commander II. Programs running in the background or fluctuations in supply voltage (from outlet) can sometimes cause this error. In most cases, the information was sent properly to the Power Commander II. Pushing
the “upload all” button again should produce a “tables sent and verified” message. I typed in notes, but they didn’t save.
You need to first push the “accept” button in the notes window and then the “save file” button.

1) Remove the passenger seat or solo seat cover section. 2) Remove the main seat. 3) Remove the fuel tank shell and prop the front of the fuel tank up. 4) Disconnect the fuel injector connector shown in Fig. A. This connector is located on the backside of the frame towards the bottom of the fuel tank. There are two connectors side by side, disconnect the one on the left. 5) Plug the connectors from the Power Commander in line of these connectors. (Fig. B) 6) Disconnect the rear brake light connector. (Fig. C) Plug the connectors from the Power Commander in line of these connectors. 1 Remove the stock seat. 2 Unplug the stock wiring harness from the ECM (Fig. A) . 3 Plug the PCV connectors in-line of the stock ECM and wiring harness (Fig.B). 4 Tuck the PCV to wiring harness connection into the opening in front of the battery box (Fig. C). 5 Using the supplied velcro attach the PCV to the top of the ECM (Fig. C) FIG.A FIG.C Remove Ground wire FIG.B PCV connector PCV connector Stk connector Connection 15-011 www.powercommander.com 2010 Harley Davidson Touring PCV – 4 6 Remove the right hand saddlebag and sidecover. 7 Locate the stock O2 sensor connections and unplug both connectors (Fig. D) The stock O2 sensors will NOT be connected to anything at this time. The sensors can be removed from the exhaust if you have a way to plug the hole. Unplugging the sensors does NOT cause an engine light but will cause a historic code in the ECM for non-active O2 sensor. This is not causing any issues with the running of the bike. FIG.D Follow these instructions when using the Auto tune kit – part #AT-100B 1 Remove the left hand side cover. 2 Place the Autotune modules in front of the battery as shown in Figure H. If using velcro make sure the velcro does not cover the designation of the unit on the back (AT #1 or AT#2). The modules are coded to the front and rear cylinders. FIG.E 3 Remove the rubber plug for the diagnostic connector. Plug the lead from the Autotune kit into the stock diagnostic connector (Fig. J).This connection is under the LH sidecover. DO NOT connect to the accessory connection in front of the battery. 4 Reinstall the sidecover. FIG.F 15-011 www.powercommander.com 2010 Harley Davidson Touring PCV – 5 5 Connect the longer harness to the front O2 sensor. Route the harness along the front down tube and along the backbone of the frame to Autotune module AT#1. Wire the harness to the module per Figure G. The harness can be cut to length if desired. 6 Repeat step 4 for the rear cylinder. Wire the harness to Autotune Module AT#2. The harness can be cut to length if desired. If your exhaust does not accept the M18x1.5mm O2 sensor you will need to install the supplied O2 bungs with the Auto tune kit into your exhaust. See Auto tune instructions for more information

Axle adjuster (keep) 3. Axle nut (keep) 4. “E”-clip (keep) 5. Spacer (3) (keep) 6. Torx screw (5) (replace) 7. Brake disc (keep) 8. Wheel assembly (replace) 9. Valve cap (keep) 10. Compensator bowl (keep) 11. Compensator cushion (keep) 12.12 pt screw (5) (keep) 13. Lockwasher (5) (keep) 14. Sprocket assembly (keep) 1. Refer to the Service Manual and follow the MAXI-FUSE instructions to remove the right-side cover and maxi- fuse. Proceed to Step 2 for the wheel being replaced. Rear Wheel 2. See Figure 1. Remove the rear wheel per the REAR WHEEL, REMOVAL instructions in the Service Manual. 3. Disassemble, clean and inspect all parts to be re-used per Service Manual instructions. 4. Re-assemble all saved components to the new chrome rear wheel assembly. See REAR WHEEL, ASSEMBLY in the Service Manual. Do not re-use brake disc screws. Re-using disc screws can result in torque loss and damage to rotor and/or brake assembly. (00319b) 5. Fasten the brake disc to the valve stem side of the wheel using the Torx®screws from the kit. Install the compensator bowl with the 12-point screws and lockwashers saved earlier. 6. Install the new wheel to the rear fork. Refer to REAR WHEEL, INSTALLATION in the Service Manual. Proceed to Step 7. Front Wheel 2. See Figure 2. Remove the front wheel per the FRONT WHEEL, REMOVAL instructions in the Service Manual. 3. Disassemble, clean and inspect all parts to be re-used per Service Manual instructions. Mark the left and right brake discs so they can be re-installed to the same location. 4. Re-assemble all saved components to the new chrome front wheel assembly. See FRONT WHEEL, ASSEMBLY in the Service Manual. Do not re-use brake disc screws. Re-using disc screws can result in torque loss and damage to rotor and/or brake assembly. (00319b) 5. Using the Torx ® shoulder bolts from the kit, and the saved spring washers fasten the brake discs to the same side of the wheel from which they were removed. 6. Install the new wheel to the front forks per the FRONT WHEEL, INSTALLATION instructions in the Service Manual. Proceed to Step 7. Front and Rear Wheels 7. Refer to the Service Manual and follow the MAXI-FUSE instructions to replace the maxi-fuse and right-side cover. After servicing brakes and before moving motorcycle, pump brakes to build brake system pressure. Insufficient pressure can adversely affect brake performance, which could result in death or serious injury. (00279a) After servicing the brake system, test brakes at low speed. If brakes are not operating properly, testing at high speeds can cause loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00289a) Maintenance and Cleaning Chrome parts must be maintained regularly to ensure that they keep their original shine and luster. 1. Clean heavily-soiled wheel surfaces using Harley Wheel and Tire Cleaner, part number 94658-98, applied with Harley Wheel and Spoke Brush, part number 43078-99. 2. Thoroughly clean chrome with a good quality chrome cleaner, such as Harley Bright Chrome Cleaner, part number 94683-99. 3. After cleaning and polishing, seal the finish with a good quality sealer such as Harley Glaze Polish and Sealant, part number 99701-84
